Journey Mixed Martial Arts

The martial arts is a journey. Those that train are on a journey. This group is open to men, women, and children ages 12 and up (parents must be present for anyone under 16 years old). It is open to all skill levels from beginners to people with martial arts experience. The group meets at VFC in the lobby Mondays at 7-8:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 10-11:30 a.m. The group initially is limited to 20 participants. Additional Saturday classes may be added if there is interest. You will participate in partner training (so if you bring a friend, you have an instant partner). We will drill punches, kicks, take-downs, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and situational self-defense using kicking shields and hand targets with partners. You will even learn how to spar with other people. You will be required to sign a participation waiver (kids require a parent to sign the waiver). Ultimately, you will need to invest in sparring gear if you like it and want to spar. Women of the Bible

We are a women's group that meets weekly to study one woman of the Bible each week. We will meet for 52 weeks, but feel free to join us at any point in the journey! We will respectfully share our thoughts/insights with one another; encourage and spur one another on to grow intimately deeper in our own individual relationships with Christ (Hebrews 10:23-25). This women’s small group is a Christ centered health and wellness group focused on stewardship, not size. Together we’ll pursue lasting wellness through biblical truth, practical nutrition education, accountability, and community. This group is led by a certified nutrition and wellness coach and a BSN, RN who love Jesus; bringing both biblical guidance and practical support.
