Adult Bible Study - Book of Proverbs

This study is for all adults and will meet every Wednesday at 6:30 in the Admin building across from the church. In this 8 week study we will be going through the book of Proverbs. There will be video teaching and small group discussion each week and an option of a more in depth home study if you'd like to dive deeper. This study does a great job of showing how the book of Proverbs shows how to live God's way in God's world and how the book connects to the Bible as a whole. In a world where we are receiving tons of information from every directions, its important to know where true wisdom can be found.

Alpha

Alpha is a program designed to create space for honest and open conversations about life’s biggest questions. It is a teaching and discussion-based biblical study that has an emphasis on the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Everyone is welcome and no questions are off limits! Alpha is by the Church, for the Church, and through the Church, but it is run worldwide in many settings—homes, cafés, restaurants, prisons, and more. VFC first ran Alpha in 2021, and began running Alpha contiguously in 2024. It serves as a great next step for anyone, regardless of where they are in their faith journey. Whether someone is new to our church, new to Christianity, has questions about the Holy Spirit, or is in search of an authentic community, Alpha is the perfect option. We have seen many stories of life change and total transformation come from Alpha.

Journey Mixed Martial Arts

The martial arts is a journey. Those that train are on a journey. This group is open to men, women, and children ages 12 and up (parents must be present for anyone under 16 years old). It is open to all skill levels from beginners to people with martial arts experience. The group meets at VFC in the lobby Mondays at 7-8:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 10-11:30 a.m. The group initially is limited to 20 participants. Additional Saturday classes may be added if there is interest. You will participate in partner training (so if you bring a friend, you have an instant partner). We will drill punches, kicks, take-downs, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and situational self-defense using kicking shields and hand targets with partners. You will even learn how to spar with other people. You will be required to sign a participation waiver (kids require a parent to sign the waiver). Ultimately, you will need to invest in sparring gear if you like it and want to spar. Please do not just show up. Please call or email to discuss the classes.
