Journey Mixed Martial Arts

The martial arts is a journey. Those that train are on a journey. This group is open to men, women, and children ages 12 and up (parents must be present for anyone under 16 years old). It is open to all skill levels from beginners to people with martial arts experience. The group meets at VFC in the lobby Mondays at 7-8:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 10-11:30 a.m. The group initially is limited to 20 participants. Additional Saturday classes may be added if there is interest. You will participate in partner training (so if you bring a friend, you have an instant partner). We will drill punches, kicks, take-downs, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and situational self-defense using kicking shields and hand targets with partners. You will even learn how to spar with other people. You will be required to sign a participation waiver (kids require a parent to sign the waiver). Ultimately, you will need to invest in sparring gear if you like it and want to spar. Please do not just show up. Please call or email to discuss the classes.
